1. A serious, but entertaining reminder from the Blue Man Group that climate change is a grave problem. Unfortunately, a problem not adequately addressed by the United States government, Corporate America or the American People.

2. Second, a serious, but worthwhile video of Al Gore from TED Talks. This video starts off a little slow, but it has the most recent data on climate change, including some scary images of the polar ice-caps from the fall of 2007. This video is almost 30 minutes long, but worth your while.

If you don’t have the time or will to watch Gore’s video, this is a quote from the introduction that I think really hits the nail on the head:

“As important is it is to change the light bulbs, it is important to change the laws. And when we change the behavior in our daily lives we sometimes leave out the citizen ship part and the democracy part. In order to be optimistic, we have to become incredibly active as citizens in our democracy.”

3. Sign the petition asking Clorox to take back and recycle Brita Filter cartridges in the US. How many eco friendly people filter their water? How many filter cartridges end up in the landfill? More than I’d like to think. And, guess what? In Europe the cartridges are recycled! Please sign this petition started by Fake Plastic Fish.
